Job Overview:

Responsibilities:


  • Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
  • Answer phone calls and direct inquiries to the appropriate personnel
  • Schedule patient appointments and update patient records using electronic medical records systems
  • Verify insurance information and collect copayments
  • Assist with patient checkin and checkout processes
  • Handle patient inquiries and provide excellent customer service
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area

Skills:


Required Skills:


  • Proficiency in using eClinicalWorks or similar electronic medical records systems
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
  • Experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting
  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with patients and staff effectively

Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Familiarity with Eaglesoft software
  • Previous experience in an emergency room (ER) setting
  • Ability to operate multiline phone systems efficiently
