Job Overview:
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings to create or repair tools and dies
- Operate manual and computercontrolled machinery such as lathes, grinders, and milling machines
- Use precision measuring instruments like calipers, micrometers, and gauges to ensure accuracy
- Inspect finished tools for quality and adherence to specifications
- Collaborate with engineers and designers to develop new tooling solutions
- Troubleshoot issues with existing tools and dies to ensure optimal performance
Requirements:
- Proficient in mechanical knowledge related to tool and die making
- Familiarity with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
- Experience using hand tools, AutoCAD, machining equipment, calipers, micrometers, lathes, etc.
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations for measurements and fabrication
- Skilled in fabricating, repairing, and maintaining precision tools
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
Pay:
$ $35.00 per hour
Expected hours:
No less than 40 per week
