EDCO Fabrication is a leading Fabrication company in Frederick, Maryland. We are currently seeking a n experienced and skilled shipping clerk to join our dynamic team. This is a full time, Benefits eligible position. The hours are Monday - Friday 6 am - 3:30 PM. Good attendance is paramount to maintain employment and be successful in this role. Pay will be based on relevant shipping experience.

Role and Responsibilities

Participate in the shipping of all company products. Compare contents of material being shipped to bill of ladings. Sort and place merchandise in proper areas. Follow established procedures to report discrepancies. Use a portal to schedule deliveries.

• Prepare materials for shipment. Utilize blueprints to ensure correctness of parts
• Use portal to schedule deliveries
• Use computer software to create shippers
• Maintain inventory for stick parts as necessary
• Count items shipped and check items against bill of lading and record any discrepancies
• Prepare shipping reports and note any shortages or damages
• Cut wood skids to size for shipping product
• Shrink wrap pallets
• Operate banding machine to tie pallets
• Operate a nail gun
• Operate a forklift
• Assist in other areas as needed or directed
• Load and unload from trucks
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Incumbent shall have a High School diploma or equivalent as well as a minimum of three years prior relevant work experience in shipping with bill of lading experience.

Must have experience with computers and be able to read blueprints.
