  • Duration: 6 months
Airbus Helicopters is seeking an intern to support our Accident and Flight Safety Investigation department.

The focus of this internship will be on conducting numerical simulations to further investigate the phenomenon of 'unanticipated yaw', which is a common cause of flight accidents.

This work will build upon a completed bachelor thesis and will involve using modern numerical methods to analyze the aerodynamic and flight-mechanical effects of unanticipated yaw.

The results of this research will be used to develop improved training methods for pilots and will be shared with relevant bodies such as the FAA and EASA.

The intern will work under the co-supervision of an expert from the American Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).


Your location:


Our Bruno, MN site is located on the banks of the Mississippi River and is where we develop helicopters from concept to airworthy product.

You will have the opportunity to observe helicopters taking off and landing on our on-site test airfield.
