Purpose and Scope:

This position is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing low voltage electrical devices and systems in Livonia, LA. The role also involves erecting, inspecting, and maintaining high voltage electrical distribution systems and related equipment.

The individual will perform required inspections and scheduled maintenance, troubleshoot and repair equipment, and ensure compliance with the Performance Work Statement (PWS).


Essential Responsibilities:


  • Repair and maintain electrical structures, equipment, and systems in accordance with the Bear order of Battle (BOB)
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, service, assemble, install, connect, repair, adjust, and test low voltage interior electrical distribution, control, and utilization equipment and systems
  • Examine electrical equipment and systems for damages, corrosion, and proper operation
  • Use test equipment and meters such as voltmeters, ammeters, megohmmeters, and oscilloscopes
  • Install and connect distribution, power generation, and utilization equipment components
  • Use common hand tools, tubing and conduit benders, threading machines, soldering irons, and grounding systems
  • Replace defective components in power rectifiers, photoelectric sensors, and voltage current regulators
  • Erect, repair, and service electrical power distribution systems and equipment
  • Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and maintenance data to prevent potential systems failure
