Our region, located in the heart of Central Germany, is undergoing a transformation towards a more climate-friendly and innovative future.

To help us make the most of our region's potential, we are looking for a new team member to join our team.

At the Burgenlandkreis district office, we are currently seeking a full-time


Public Relations and Citizen Participation Officer (m/f/d)
to start as soon as possible.

This position is based on the collective agreement for public service employees (TVöD) and is initially limited until January 31, 2025.


Your main responsibilities will include:


  • Independent development of public relations strategies for structural change, in close cooperation with the press office of the Burgenlandkreis and the structural change department of the State Chancellery of Saxony-Anhalt
  • Networking with the district and municipal authorities for public relations related to structural change
  • Development of a storytelling concept for the Burgenlandkreis and the "core region"
  • Monitoring, involvement and active communication with civil society groups and interest groups related to structural change
  • Conceptualization and development of the structural change department's website and social media presence
  • Establishment of an online participation platform for the Burgenlandkreis, including monitoring
