Job Summary:

Assisted Living Facility in Brooklyn, Bensonhurst is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medication Technician to join our team.

As a Medication Technician, you will be responsible for assisting residents with medication administration, ensuring compliance with medication protocols, and providing companionate care to our residents.

It is a full-time position with available shifts: Day Shift (3pm-12am) / Overnight (12am-9am).


Responsibilities:


  • Administer medications to residents as prescribed by healthcare professionals
  • Follow proper medication administration procedures and protocols
  • Document medication administration accurately and timely in medical records
  • Monitor residents for any adverse reactions or side effects from medications
  • Provide compassionate and attentive resident care
  • Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality
  • Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure effective communication and coordination of care
  • Maintain a clean and organized medication cart

Requirements:


  • High school diploma
  • Certified Medical Technician (CMT) certification preferred
  • Previous experience in medication administration or healthcare setting preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and basic understanding of acute care practices
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism
  • Ability to accurately document medical information
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to work well in a team environment

Pay:
From $16.00 per hour
