MDH Office of Genetics and People with Special Health Care Needs

Baltimore, MD 21201


Main Purpose of Job:

The main purpose of this position is to supervise program personnel, including clinical and non-clinical staff. This position oversees federal grants specific to the EHDI(Early Hearing Detection and Intervention) program. This position also coordinates procurement activities for the program and manages the Maryland Infant Screening Database.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


Education:

A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in nursing, social work, psychology, education, counseling, or a related field.


Experience:

Six years professional experience in health services, three years must have been in Health Services professional clinical or administrative services in areas other than Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities or Addictions and three years must have been at the managerial or supervisory level.

  • Experience working with Federal Grants.
  • Experience working with the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Community.
