    As a Counselor with us, you have the vital role of helping to save lives by offering counseling services to clients, conducting therapy sessions, and fostering an atmosphere of long-term recovery. Collaborate with our Clinical Director and Executive Director to create and uphold a therapeutic environment for our residents.

    Requirements

    • 4-year degree in a social science discipline with a CSAC or CSAC eligibility (minimum requirement)
    • Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, marriage and family therapy, and at least one year of experience in the field (preferred)
    • Preferably hold licenses such as CSAC, LMFT, LPC, LCSW, LSAT, or LRIC

    Responsibilities:

    • Evaluate client's counseling needs
    • Conduct substance abuse diagnosis according to DSM criteria
    • Develop discharge and continuum of care plan for clients
    • Record all counseling services and maintain client caseload
    • Coordinate support services for clients and families
    • Facilitate interventions for crisis situations
    • Deliver individual, group, and family counseling
    • Teach psychoeducation groups
    • Work in a substance use disorder treatment environment
    • Comply with company policies and federal confidentiality laws
