For Internal Auditor 1, you must have:
Either 1. A bachelor's or higher degree in accounting, actuarial science, auditing, banking, business administration, business management, community health, computer information systems, computer science, criminal justice, criminal science, criminology, cybersecurity, digital forensics, economics, finance, financial market regulations, forensics, government, homeland security, information science, information security, information technology, internal auditing, justice studies, law enforcement, management information systems, management information technology, mathematics, operations research, political science, public administration, public affairs, public health, public justice, public policy, public policy and management, quantitative analysis, research methods, statistics, or taxation; AND designation as a Certified Internal Auditor by the Institute of Internal Auditors; OR

  • A bachelor's or higher degree in accounting, actuarial science, auditing, banking, business administration, business management, community health, computer information systems, computer science, criminal justice, criminal science, criminology, cybersecurity, digital forensics, economics, finance, financial market regulations, forensics, government, homeland security, information science, information security, information technology, internal auditing, justice studies, law enforcement, management information systems, management information technology, mathematics, operations research, political science, public administration, public affairs, public health, public justice, public policy, public policy and management, quantitative analysis, research methods, statistics, or taxation AND two years of professional experience in conducting internal audits; financial statement audits; compliance reviews; or program research, review, and appraisal.
For Internal Auditor Trainee 1, you must have

A bachelor's or higher degree in accounting, actuarial science, auditing, banking, business administration, business management, community health, computer information systems, computer science, criminal justice, criminal science, criminology, cybersecurity, digital forensics, economics, finance, financial market regulations, forensics, government, homeland security, information science, information security, information technology, internal auditing, justice studies, law enforcement, management information systems, management information technology, mathematics, operations research, political science, public administration, public affairs, public health, public justice, public policy, public policy and management, quantitative analysis, research methods, statistics, or taxation.


Additional Qualifications:


For Trainee 2 you must also have one year of professional experience in conducting internal audits, financial statement audits, compliance reviews or program research, review, and appraisal.

For the Full Performance Level you must also have:
Either 1. Two years of professional experience in conducting internal audits; financial statement audits; compliance reviews; or program research, review, and appraisal; OR

  • Designation as a Certified Internal Auditor by the Institute of Internal Auditors
COMPETITIVE

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
You must be reachable for appointment the current Civil Service eligible list used for filling this title.

REASSIGNMENT QUALIFICATIONS:


Current Office for People with Developmental Disabilities employee with one year of permanent competitive or 55b/c service as an Internal Auditor 1.


TRANSFER QUALIFICATIONS:

  • For 70.1 transfer to an Internal Auditor 1, salary grade (SG)18, you must have one year of permanent competitive, or 55 B/C service in an approved title for transfer allocated to an SG16 or above.
  • For 70.1 transfer to an Internal Auditor Trainee 2, salary grade (SG)16, you must have one year of permanent competitive, or 55 B/C service in an approved title for transfer allocated to an SG14 or above.
  • For 70.1 transfer to an Internal Auditor Trainee 1, salary grade (SG)14, you must have one year of permanent competitive, or 55 B/C service in an approved title for transfer allocated to an SG12 or above.

55 B/C QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Possess the minimum qualifications for this title as established by the Department of Civil Service and listed on the most recent exam announcement.

  • Serve as staff internal auditor on an internal laudit team under the supervision of an internal auditorincharge and perform preaudit surveys;
