The Ruhr Association is one of the largest water management companies in Germany and has been ensuring clean rivers and lakes in the Ruhr catchment area for over 100 years.

For our Information Technology department at our location in Essen, we are currently looking for two IT project managers (m/f/d) to join our team.

With approximately employees, we secure the drinking water supply for 4.6 million people in one of the largest metropolitan areas in Europe and preserve the essential resource of water for future generations.

In order to fulfill this great responsibility, we operate more than 800 technical facilities - including dams, sewage treatment plants, and sewer networks - and develop efficient solutions for sustainable resource management.


Your tasks:

  • Accompanying, leading, and managing IT projects and requirements from conception to golive or rollout
  • Development of solution concepts
  • Further development of data controlling
  • Consulting on improving IT processes
  • Planning, controlling, and completing test execution
  • Coordination of collaboration with consulting companies and external service providers
  • Communication within teams, steering committees, or management level

You offer us:

  • Completed degree, preferably in (business) informatics or industrial engineering or comparable
  • Several years of professional experience in the implementation of IT or software projects using agile or traditional methods
  • Very good knowledge of information and communication technology as well as IT architecture management
  • Strong interdisciplinary thinking
  • Communicative personality with teamwork skills, assertiveness, structured work approach, and analytical skills
  • SAP knowledge, preferably S/4.
