SCHEDULE:
Monday-Friday 4:30pm-12:30am


SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the 1st Shift Shipping Supervisor, manage the quality, inventory, and distribution of product in/out of the shipping area.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Coordinate shipping with Plant 2 concerning crossdock product. Verify correct product is picked/crossdocked.
  • Complete necessary paperwork.
  • Direct the proper staging, assembling, and loading of customer orders to ensure that orders are being filled properly.
  • Direct and train Forklift Operators to meet production shipment needs and standards.
  • On a daily basis, ensure that trucks are properly loaded with the correctly filled orders and loaded in a timely manner so that drivers may leave in time to meet appointments. Follow proper weighing procedures.
  • Monitor performance of 2nd shift employees
  • Conduct a visual check of product in plant and confirm via scan gun [Envio].
  • Coordinate with leadership team and provide support when needed.
  • Direct the proper staging, assembling, and loading of customer orders.
  • Understand and implement the purchase order number system so that inventory program operates properly.
  • Fill small orders when customers come directly to the facility.
  • Supervise Forklift Operators to assist Production team with maintaining their packaging supply.
  • Assure that incoming loads have made appointments.
  • Ensure that returns are properly directed to the receiving department.
  • If outside trucks are being used, assist drivers with procedures to be followed and make sure they are loaded in a timely manner.
  • Enter and verify shipped quantities in Envio in a timely manner to ensure seamless transitions throughout the Envio process.
  • Follow proper weighing procedures, scan ticket and close out order. Notify supervisor of any concerns regarding trailers or anything outside of normal operations.
  • Correct any errors which may include adding, modifying, or voiding data.
  • Troubleshoot issues that arise with Envio.
  • Print pallet tags or box labels as required.
  • Maintain open communication with supervisors and managers in order to achieve the above expectations.
  • Assure that trailers are clean and odorless prior to loading. Report concerns to supervisor.
  • Maintain a workstation from which to administrate the above expectations.
  • Basic reading, writing and math skills are required.
  • Must be flexible in order to assist in covering the Shipping Department on the weekends and other shifts where coverage may be needed.
