Your Responsibilities:
Join us in making the streaming experience a highlight.

As part of the Streaming Technology department at RTL Germany, you will be responsible for processing and delivering various media content on our streaming platforms.

We offer a high-quality platform, from content encoding to delivery to the individual players for products such as RTL+, Toggo, and more.

Our players are the central component of our streaming products and are regularly used by millions of users.

Join our dynamic and creative team shaping the future of streaming. As a Senior Developer in the Mobile Player Team, you will be responsible for developing the Android player.

In our team, we provide product teams with client libraries that provide the central audio/video players tailored to the corresponding server infrastructure.

This frees the teams from technically complex topics such as DRM, ad serving, bandwidth changes, and monitoring.

Currently, we use the ExoPlayer as a central component for Android, not only on mobile devices but also on Amazon Fire TV and Android TV.

You will develop a state-of-the-art streaming experience for our users.
You will implement technically demanding requirements from analysis to rollout.
You will be the contact person for CI/CD, infrastructure, and monitoring/logging.
You will actively contribute to the technological decisions within the project.
You will work on the technical roadmap together with the Product Owner and the team.
You will modernize and rethink areas of the platform.
You will continuously improve our
