Equipped with 5 exam rooms, a fully functional treatment area with ultrasound, digital radiology, handheld digital dental x-ray, a set of in-house Idexx analyzers complete with a Sedivue, AND the VETSCAN IMAGYST, we practice advanced, evidence-based medicine with kindness and compassion and have the policies in place to help make you as successful as possible.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting veterinarian with all aspects of exams; setting up patient appointments
• Obtain relevant health history and information from clients and maintain medical charts.
• Obtaining patient vitals
• Entering medical notes and charges into software
• Use safe restraining techniques
• Follow standard protocols and sustain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms and labs.
• Perform venipuncture for phlebotomy
• Obtain laboratory sample collection, ear cytology, skin cytology and urinalysis.
• Perform diagnostic digital imaging.
• Administer vaccines and medications (oral, topical and injectable).
• Knowledge about vaccines
• Running in

- house lab work

• Radiology and surgical patient care assistance
• Medication preparation and administration
• Preparing vaccinations
• Preparing prescriptions
• Fill prescriptions and review directions with clients.
• Communicate with and educate clients.
• Provide compassionate patient care.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift and/or restrain 50 pounds
• Standing for long periods with frequent bending, kneeling, stooping and reaching
• Sitting, standing, walking, lifting, and other physical activities for minimum 412 hour periods based on your schedule
