Outside Salesperson

Primary Function


In the broadest sense, this position is responsible for making sales calls on commercial accounts on regularly scheduled intervals and prospecting for new customers.

The commercial accounts consist of automotive repair shops, fleets, municipalities, and industrial markets. Must be a friendly, courteous and an ambitious go-getter to service existing customers and prospect for new accounts.

Should be dedicated, energetic and driven to promote the entire NAPA line of products and services to increase market penetration.

This role reports to the Area Manager.


Specific Key Result Areas:


  • Territory Growth
    Communicate customers issues to management to support service goals:
  • Create and implement plans for growth by customer and to broaden customer base
  • Track and measure customer base to guide in strategic planning and measurement of progress
  • Maintain and increase products stocked by customers to reduce service demands on store and increase product loyalty
  • Grow NAPA AutoCare and major accounts as well as strategic focus initiatives.
  • Administrative Communicate goals and strategies with management
    Have accurate market and customer analysis of products, market conditions and pricing to best form growth plans
  • Work with accounting department to supplement and guide company account recovery efforts


  • Quotas

  • Achieve and maintain commercial sales and gross profit quotas
  • Perform all other duties as assigned by upper management

Qualifications:


  • College degree preferred, or equivalent sales experience
  • Be able to perform in a quotadriven environment
  • Experience in a NAPA Store or other retail automotive industry experience preferred
  • Effective negotiator, adept at preparing for, closing, and maintaining sales
  • Strong multitask, prioritization, problem solving, decisionmaking, and effective judgment skills
  • Personal drive, actionoriented, sense of urgency, selfmotivation, desire for improvement
  • Must take pride in personal appearance and convey professionalism
  • Preemployment drug screen and background check, valid driver's license and safe driving record

Pay:
$55, $65,000.00 per year
