Position Overview:

The Service Manager reports to the Tampa Regional Director. Responsibilities are focused on maintaining the day to day tasks and responsibilities of the service department.

The service manager must be able to contribute to the overall success of the company by performing all assigned duties in a professional, timely, and accurate manner.


Essential Job Functions:


  • Manage customer relations with all current and potential customers.
  • Provide all service customers with written quotes as required.
  • Manage the administrative and customer service functions of the Service Department.
  • Maintain open and positive communication (both in verbal and written form) with employees, departments, customers, and vendors.
  • Maintain appropriate workload distribution to meet customer and business needs.
  • Develop and foster new relationships with prospective customers.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and recommend policy changes as needed.
  • Responsible for the efficient operation of the Service Department and expense control.
  • Proactive and reactive management of all service personnel including hiring, training, motivation, career development, reviews, and safety.
  • Analyze service productivity and recommend changes to improve customer service and profitability.
  • Maintain highquality service delivery in an efficient, productive, and profitable manner.
  • Maintain ongoing maintenance schedules for service accounts.
  • Organize, coordinate, and schedule all scheduled maintenance, replacement, and Customer service work orders.
  • Assist or assign assistance for technicians on accounts to ensure work quality.

Position Requirements:


  • Applicant must be familiar with a variety of the electrical field's concepts, practices, best practice, and procedures including the technical ability to understand and interpret Electrical Codes, Life Safety Codes, NFPA, Uniform Building Codes and Lighting Systems where applicable
  • Ability to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing) with diverse individuals and to consistently handle interpersonal situations in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Excellent organizational ability to prioritize, organize workload, handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously, and to meet deadlines.
  • Detailoriented and the ability to provide accurate documentation.
