Project Engineer for BMS Systems - Fox, United States - Eclipse Innovations
Description
Responsibilities:
- Component responsibility for control unit (BMS) of the HV drive battery
- Definition of adjustments to the software functional framework for optimization / expansion of functions or troubleshooting
- Collaboration in the analysis of defective HV batteries with a focus on BMS software functions or malfunctions
- Management of development projects including time and budget planning
- Ensuring project goals, manufacturability, assembly and serviceability, as well as cost-effectiveness
- Ensuring implementation of all fundamental automotive processes such as change management, bill of materials, procurement processes, validation and homologation
- Reporting project progress to management
- Close collaboration and communication with internal departments as well as external customers and suppliers
Requirements:
- Completed degree in electrical engineering, industrial engineering or similar
- Several years of professional experience in hardware/software development of BMS systems, ideally in the automotive industry
- Several years of professional experience in hardware/software design for control units in the automotive sector
- Proven experience in leading hardware/software development projects
- Experience in coordinating development service providers and supplier management
- Knowledge of HV traction batteries
- Knowledge of the basic functioning of an electric drive system from
