Job Overview

The Transportation and Warehouse Departments are vital parts of HealthRIGHT 360's operations, and are primarily responsible for the following:

  • Providing safe transportation for clients to increase access to needed services.
  • Receiving, managing and delivering the inventory of purchased goods and inkind donations, including equipment, furniture, food and supplies.
Coordinates and ensures all transportation between all of HealthRIGHT 360's Northern CA's programs. Transportation coordination includes staff, clients, equipment, documents, and supplies. Provides support and coordinates all areas related to vehicle records and maintenance. Manages warehouse inventory tracking, auditing, shipping/receiving, and ordering process. Responsible for supervision and performance of all Northern CA transportation and warehouse staff.

Key Responsibilities

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:
Supervises Northern CA Driver(s) and Warehouse Staff.

Performs aspects of management, including but not limited to:
supervising, mentoring, hiring, overseeing orientation, training/professional development, discipline, motivation, evaluation and termination. Provides training for staff on policies, procedures and facility responsibilities. Assists with team personnel issues as needed. Ensures all staff have relevant, up-to-date licenses, and that drivers are authorized on the agency's insurance.

Transportation Coordinating Responsibilities:
Coordinates driver(s) to transport various freights, runs, errands etc. Responsible for ensuring routine vehicle maintenance including inspections, interior and exterior cleaning and pumping gas. Maintains all such documentation.

Warehouse & Inventory Management Responsibilities:
Manages warehouse storage, shipping, and receiving of in-kind donations, purchased products, and all other agency inventory. Screens and completes facility requests. Ensures that merchandise is secure and properly stored. Manages the Warehouse Management System (WMS) and ongoing inventory accuracy by regularly performing inventory control procedures. Collaborate with senior leadership on inventory control development process and implementation. Coordinates off-site donation screenings and pickups. Assists with furniture purchasing. Processes, sorts, evaluates and tests donations. Ensures safety of warehouse. Assists with loading and unloading trucks. Drives and assists with product pickups as needed. Assists with facility upkeep.

May be required to serve on the Health & Safety Committee and/or serve as the Health & Safety representative for the Warehouse Department.

Education and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities


Education and Experience Required:


  • Valid California Driver's license (Class B license preferred).
  • Ability to clear and maintain agency vehicle insurance coverage.
  • Professional driving experience.

Background Clearance Required:


  • Must not be on active parole or probation.

Knowledge Required:


  • Clear understanding of appropriate staff/client boundaries.
  • Knowledge of transportation equipment for physically disabled.
  • Knowledge of vehicle safety and maintenance.
  • Culturally competent and able to work with a diverse population.

Skills and Abilities Required:


  • Experience with using computers, Microsoft Office, entering information into spreadsheets and/or databases, and inventory control.
  • Ability to read and interpret maps.
  • Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data.
  • Professionalism, punctuality, flexibility and reliability are imperative.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
  • Integrity to handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
