Centre Island is offering an apprenticeship as a civil engineering specialist (m/f/d) in 2024. The training will take place at Eiffage Infra-Südwest (formerly Faber Bau) at our headquarters in Alzey.

The vocational school and training center for your training location in Alzey are located in Mainz, and from the second year of training in Kaiserslautern.

What does this job involve?

Performing road, pipeline, sewer, track, well, or special civil engineering work:


Road construction:
Creating slopes and edge reinforcements

Paving sidewalks and squares

Asphalting roads


Pipeline construction:
Laying pipes for gas and water lines

Constructing cable ducts


Sewer construction:
Laying concrete pipes

Building access shafts

Installation of supply and disposal systems


Special civil engineering:
Installation of water pumping systems

Well drilling and tunnel construction


Track construction:
Constructing the substructure for tracks and laying rails

Creating building pits, trenches, or traffic routes and surfaces

Working with construction equipment and machinery

Observing occupational safety, environmental and health protection

What should you bring?

We welcome applicants with a good secondary school leaving certificate.

You have an interest in technology and machinery.

You possess manual dexterity.

You are responsible, careful, and cautious.

You should have a good understanding of basic arithmetic.
