Strategic Purchasing Clerk m/f/d in South Carrollton, KY (Hourly wage: $21.34)


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for purchasing services and materials for national and international projects, including commercial processing
  • Independent procurement of offers, procurement market analysis (search for suitable suppliers and supplier comparisons), price comparisons based on predetermined criteria (quality, deadlines, etc.)
  • Independent and largely autonomous clarification of delivery and payment terms, as well as negotiation within a given framework
  • Verification and responsibility for correct allocation (assignment to cost centers, accounts, etc.)
  • Creation and partial triggering of orders in SAP (or handover to operational purchasing for triggering)
  • Regular evaluation of suppliers based on predetermined metrics (quality, deadlines, quantity, etc.)
  • Creation of supplier contacts (e.g. price negotiations, product advice, etc.)
  • Creation of material master data, suppliers, etc. in the system (SAP), price and order book maintenance in SAP, requesting data sheets according to guidelines and supplier declarations
  • Support of assigned specialist area/product group as a contact person
  • Prepare statistical evaluations for price negotiations (e.g. regarding suppliers, price developments, sales developments, etc.)
  • Verification and approval of invoices and credit notes
  • Undertake subtasks within projects that are timelimited and/or within a given budget
  • Participation in purchasing projects
