Job DescriptionIntern - Supply Chain Analyst

Reports To:
Project ManagerSUMMARYThe intern's focus will be identifying inefficiencies in the way we supply ourbiggest customers and proposing solutions. The intern will also support dailyscheduling, sourcing, and purchasing.

Continuous Improvement/Six Sigmaprinciples are applied up and down the supply chain and we would be happyto support the intern in the completion of a Black Belt project if applicable.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESWork on packaging or supply projects assignments assigned by the ProjectManager, GM, or Sales.
Record keeping and filing of specifications.

Meet time schedules on projects with possible overtime involved.
Make production specifications from proto type.
Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety andmaintaining good housekeeping.
Additional duties and projects for learning initiatives may be assigned bydirector and associate director
Support daily scheduling, sourcing, and purchasing.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCECurrently pursuing College education or heavy college coursework in the field ofcomputers, CAD, and drafting, or applicable work experience.

Good communicator with customers and sales staff.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAble to read a tape measure with speed and accuracy. Able to calculate figures andamounts such as percentages, measurement, volume and rate. Able to applyconcepts of high school math.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished inwritten, oral, or graphic form. Ability to deal with problems involving one or moreconcrete variables in standardized situations.
TECHNICAL SKILLSEquipment design and capabilities that can be translated into efficient operation.

The employee frequently is required to use hands to finger,handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must regularly liftand/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision,color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENTThe work environment characteristics described here are representative of those anemployee encounters while performing the functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed tomoving mechanical parts. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humidcondition. The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places, fumesor airborne particles; and vibration. The noise level in the work environment isusually loud. Lift and move corrugated sheets as necessary. Lift and move cuttingand printing dies as necessary.

PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTSThe performance of the employee will be measured as follows:

Personal growth - while the company will provide the tools to assist the employeeto grow professionally the responsibility for moving forward lies with the individual.

Each year there will be goals developed and agreed to by the employee and his/hersuperior.
Employee relations - through observations the employee will be evaluatedregarding his/her behaviors associated with appropriate human interaction, respectand communication.

Creativity - this will be evaluated by how active the employee is in participating inadvancing the business through new and innovative ideas.
