Our team is growing, and we are seeking to fill a number of key positions within our organization including this opportunity at NDX Stern Dental Lab in Houston, TX for a Full-Time Dental Lab Technician III (Denture Setup).
This is a full-time position featuring employee benefits including: health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance; paid holiday, vacation, and sick time; 401K with company contribution; and tuition reimbursement
Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position:
- Read prescriptions and specifications received from dentist.
- Check models for defect that need correcting before fabrication begins
- Check articulation of models for proper occlusal relationship
- Post dam upper models
- Set pin on articulator to establish vertical relationship
- Double check teeth to be used for correct mold and shade
- Place wax on baseplate and set teeth on the arch in proper alignment to achieve proper function and good aesthetics. If setting for wax tryin, soak model in water before setup. Check occlusion to be sure correct bite relationship has been achieved
- All other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities Required:
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
- Removable knowledge in all phases of dental technology
- Excellent eyehand coordination and manual dexterity
- Detail oriented
Minimum Education and Experience Required:
- Required: High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be able to sustain production
- Preferred CDT
Hazardous Materials or Equipment Used:
- Small machinery
- Handpieces
- Chemicals
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time
