Job Overview:

As the C-Store General Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the overall operations of the convenience store (C-Store).

Your main objective will be to ensure the store's profitability, customer satisfaction, and efficient day-to-day functioning.

You will lead a team of employees and work closely with suppliers, vendors, and the management team to achieve business goals and maintain high standards of service.


Key Responsibilities:


Leadership and Team Management:


  • Recruit, hire, train and schedule store staff, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
  • Set performance expectations, provide regular feedback, conduct performance reviews, and implement training and development programs to improve team productivity.
  • Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork, motivation, and employee engagement.

Sales and Customer Service:


  • Develop and implement strategies to drive sales, increase foot traffic, and achieve revenue targets.
  • Maintain a strong focus on customer satisfaction, resolving customer complaints or issues promptly to ensure a positive shopping experience.
  • Monitor customer feedback and implement improvements based on customer needs and preferences.

Inventory Management:


  • Oversee inventory levels, ordering, and restocking to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained at all times.
  • Implement efficient inventory control processes to minimize waste, loss, or theft.

Financial Management:


  • Prepare and manage the store's budget, ensuring financial goals are met or exceeded.
  • Monitor expenses, optimize cost control measures, and identify areas for potential savings.
  • Daily gas prices and paperwork submission.
  • Using reporting to gain insight on store performance and develop ways to improve.

Compliance and Safety:


  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety standards, food handling guidelines, and licensing requirements.
  • Implement safety protocols and training to maintain a secure and accidentfree workplace.

Store Maintenance and Presentation:


  • Ensure the store is clean, organized, and wellmaintained, creating an inviting atmosphere for customers.
  • Coordinate with maintenance personnel for repairs and improvements as needed.

Marketing and Promotions:


  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute sales promotions, advertising campaigns, and loyalty programs to attract and retain customers.

Vendor and Supplier Relations:


  • Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to secure favorable terms, and product availability.
  • Evaluate supplier performance and maintain strong relationships with key partners.
