At the earliest possible date, we are looking for you as the Head of Freight Wagon Maintenance (m/f/d) for DB Cargo AG at the Seddiner See location.

Your responsibilities:

You are responsible for the results of our freight wagon maintenance and have a holistic view of operations, including deadlines, costs, and quality.

Your production planning is the basis for ensuring the economic provision of personnel and material resources, as well as for investments in the introduction of new technologies.

You ensure the functionality and utilization of facilities, as well as sufficient operating resources and efficient work preparation, including the introduction of new products.

Your unit has approximately 80 employees, of which you directly and disciplinarily lead 3 supervisors.

You ensure the sustainable qualification of your employees, so that everyone stays up to date, especially in the application of applicable regulations and on the topics of workplace safety and railway operations.

You are the escalation level for freight wagon release, determine warranty claims, and enforce them.

We want to get a little better every day: You drive a continuous improvement process, identify optimization potentials, and implement corresponding measures, e.g.

to reduce lead times.

Your profile:
The basis of your career is a successfully completed engineering degree (such as mechanical engineering, vehicle technology, industrial engineering, or comparable), alternatively you are a master craftsman or technician with several years of professional
