Job Description:


As a Production Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of meat products through processing machines, conducting visual inspections of products and packaging, and maintaining quality control standards.

This position requires manual dexterity, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.


Responsibilities:


  • Maintain a consistent flow of meat products through processing machines.
  • Visually inspect products and packaging for deformities, imperfections, and quality control issues.
  • Remove and address any identified issues to prevent product rejection.
  • Lift, push, and pull products to facilitate material flow.
  • Handstuff, formulate, and link products using traditional processes with attention to detail.
  • Place finished products into preformed boxes for distribution.
  • Check the temperature of products to ensure they meet packaging requirements.

Physical Requirements:

  • Stand in one place for 80% of the shift (8+ hours per day).
  • Walk throughout the department for 20% of the shift (8+ hours per day).
  • Frequent use of both hands and arms.
  • Full and frequent manual dexterity.
  • Ability to lift overhead using both arms.
  • Bend, twist, and squat as needed throughout the shift (8+ hours per day).

Job Requirements:

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the United States.
  • Willingness to submit to a drug screen and background check.
  • Basic mathematical skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division).
  • Military experience is welcomed.

Working Conditions:

  • Environment maintained at a temperature between 28°F and 34°F.
  • Ability to work constantly in a refrigerated environment (8+ hours per day).
  • Slippery floors when wet due to constant spillage and sanitation.
Minimum Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must have reliable transportation
  • Must be United States citizen or authorized to work in the United States
  • Must be willing to submit to a drug screen and background check
  • Must know basic mathematic skills, such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division for purposes of a proper count of product in a variety of boxes and packaging sizes
  • Military experience welcomed
