SUMMARY
The Maintenance Technician is a skilled journeyman responsible for installing, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing equipment dealing with hydraulic, electrical and mechanical systems within an injection molding manufacturing facility.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
- Mentoring and Monitoring Apprentice
- Correcting safety issues involving equipment and facilities
- Performing preventative maintenance on equipment on systems such as injection molding machines, paint lines and process water systems
- Using Knowledge gained through education and experience to troubleshoot and perform problem solving equipment throughout the manufacturing facility leading to root cause corrective actions and repairs.
- Installing, performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing hydraulic, electrical and mechanical equipment
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or GED required, Journeyman card preferred
A minimum of 2 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment required
Basic understanding Electrical, Hydraulic and/or Mechanical systems required
Experience with troubleshooting and repairing Electrical, Hydraulic and Mechanical systems preferred
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Possesses the ability to gather and analyze information and make decisions from a limited number of choices.
- A minimum score of 20 on the Wonderlic Contemporary Cognitive Ability Test.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
This position typically does not require any travel.
