Job Duties:

Plans and completes an efficient patient pick up and drop off route for the day.
Safely pick up patients from their locations and transport them to medical appointments to assigned locations.
Establish and maintain communication with patients and healthcare staff to ensure smooth and efficient transportation services.
Follow all safety protocols and regulations, including securing passengers and maintaining vehicle safety standards.
Maintain accurate records of trips, patient information and any incidents that occur during transport.
Ensures that delivery vehicle receives basic service according to maintenance schedule; reports larger service needs and mechanical issues to supervisor.
Assists in general duties when route is completed.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Additional Skills/Competencies

Ability to drive safely using a company provided vehicle.
Ability to use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or webbased or physical maps.
Ability to plan delivery routes.
Ability to maintain basic logs and records.
Ability to carry out a series of instructions without constant supervision.
Able to always remain professional and courteous.

Physical/Mental Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
Must be able to pass the vision screening of 20/40 vision or less in better eye with correction.
Must not have any physical conditions that would inhibit the ability to control or safely drive a motor vehicle as per the PA Department of Transportation form DL180.
Must be able to assist patients as needed to enter/exit vehicle.
