Job Duties:


  • Plans and completes an efficient patient pick up and drop off route for the day.
  • Safely pick up patients from their locations and transport them to medical appointments to assigned locations.
  • Establish and maintain communication with patients and healthcare staff to ensure smooth and efficient transportation services.
  • Follow all safety protocols and regulations, including securing passengers and maintaining vehicle safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of trips, patient information and any incidents that occur during transport.
  • Ensures that delivery vehicle receives basic service according to maintenance schedule; reports larger service needs and mechanical issues to supervisor.
  • Assists in general duties when route is completed.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:


  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.

Additional Skills/Competencies

  • Ability to drive safely using a company provided vehicle.
  • Ability to use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or webbased or physical maps.
  • Ability to plan delivery routes.
  • Ability to maintain basic logs and records.
  • Ability to carry out a series of instructions without constant supervision.
  • Able to always remain professional and courteous.

Physical/Mental Requirements:


  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.
  • Must be able to pass the vision screening of 20/40 vision or less in better eye with correction.
  • Must not have any physical conditions that would inhibit the ability to control or safely drive a motor vehicle as per the PA Department of Transportation form DL180.
  • Must be able to assist patients as needed to enter/exit vehicle.
