WORK LOCATION:
Silver Spring, MD


Qualifications:


  • Minimum Education: High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • Minimum Experience: Desire to make a positive impact in the lives of youth is a MUST have Some soccer experience (playing or coaching) is preferred but not required. Sporting or athletics background a plus but not essential.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Access to reliable transportation.
  • Consent to and complete a background check (MSYSA will cover the cost).
  • Ability to assist the Site Lead in leading 2040 students aged 611, through sport and lifeteaching moments.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:


  • Attend one or more practices per week for a daily commitment of approximately 2 hours (3:00/5:30pm typical timeframe).
  • Assist with the facilitation of the day's lesson plan.
  • Participate in games and activities with the students.
  • Work with Site Lead and Coach Mentors to create a positive learning environment.

Special Requirements

  • New hires must complete SafeSport and Heads Up Concussion training in addition to program training (Approx. 34 hours of total training) and one in person field training.

A training stipend will be awarded (at the end of season) to all coach-mentors who complete all required training, compliance requirements, and finish the Let's Play season.
