At the Max Planck Institute of Psychiatry, scientists and clinicians are researching the causes of psychiatric disorders. In our research clinic, we focus on the diagnosis, treatment, and study of psychiatric disorders, with a particular emphasis on treatment-resistant depression. The clinic is located in Schwabing, between Luitpold Park and the English Garden. It consists of three open and one protected psychiatric ward, as well as the 60+ ward, with a total of 120 beds for 2,000 patients per year. We also have three day clinics with 54 partial hospitalization places and various specialized outpatient clinics.
