The Fraunhofer Institute for Cell Therapy and Immunology IZI conducts research and develops specialized solutions at the interfaces of medicine, life sciences, and engineering.
For our department "GMP Cell and Gene Therapy", we are looking for several new employees at our location in Leipzig as soon as possible. The department produces cell and gene therapeutics as well as other cellular products under Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) conditions and is responsible for the quality control of clinical trial preparations.

What you will do
  • Your main focus will be on the production of sterile cell-based drugs in a cleanroom under GMP conditions.
  • Together with your team, you will establish and validate new production processes.
  • You will also be responsible for creating the necessary documentation and other GMP-related tasks, such as qualifying new equipment.
What you bring
  • You have completed a technical assistant (MTA/BTA), biology laboratory technician, or a comparable qualification with good grades.
