Medical Assistant (m/f/d) - General Medicine Practice

We are looking for a Medical Assistant (m/f/d) (MA) for our general medicine practice in Smithwick, SD.

Our range of services includes the following areas:

  • General and primary care
  • Diagnostics: Resting ECG, ultrasound examinations, blood sugar measurements
  • Prevention: Health checkups (starting at age 35), skin cancer screening, vaccination advice
  • Special treatment: Disease management programs (DMP diabetes, coronary heart disease, chronic lung diseases, asthma); infusions and injections, laboratory tests
  • Comprehensive care through close collaboration with other departments

Your responsibilities:

  • Interface between doctor and patient
  • Patient reception and care before, during and after treatment
  • Appointment scheduling and coordination, as well as organizing the practice workflow
  • Preparation of patients for medical consultations and examinations
  • Performance of diagnostic tasks such as blood draws, urine analysis, infusions, and assistance with minor procedures
  • Support with billing (public and private health insurance)
  • Maintenance of patient records and general administrative tasks

Your qualifications:

  • Completed training as a MA with state recognition
  • Interest in the field of general medicine
  • Motivation and enjoyment in working with patients
  • Teamwork and loyalty
  • Willingness to perform, flexibility, commitment, and sense of responsibility
  • Identification with the existing mission statement of the practice
