North Riverside Hotel Professionals are responsible for planning work processes in the hotel, taking care of and advising hotel guests, and ensuring their well-being.

They are involved in all departments of the hotel, such as preparing and inspecting guest rooms, serving in the restaurant, and working in the kitchen.

They also organize events and assign rooms to guests. Hotel professionals handle billing, plan staff schedules, and supervise kitchen staff. They are also responsible for accounting and inventory management. They negotiate with travel agencies and play a role in developing and implementing marketing strategies in large hotels.

What level of education is expected?

There is no specific educational requirement, but most companies prefer applicants with a high school diploma


The training includes:

  • 18 months: Kitchen, service, reception (front office)


  • Final exam part

  • End: Housekeeping, conference service, reception (revenue, marketing, sales, F&B, office organization)


  • Final exam part

The dual training program is divided as follows:

  • 1st year: 3 days in the company, 2 days in vocational school
  • 2nd year: 4 days in the company, 1 day in vocational school
  • 3rd year: 4 days in the company, 1 day in vocational school
The vocational school is located in Garmisch-Partenkirchen. The training can start every year in winter (February/March) or summer (August/September).
