Job Information


The Social Office supports people with disabilities and people with mental illness in leading a self-determined life. This includes assistance in everyday life as well as participation in social life, meeting points in the neighborhood, residential offers, care, therapy, after-school care and educational opportunities.

The three-year training takes place in our facilities, Senator-Neumann-Haus, in Hamburg Bergstedt, and in the Haus Beerboom, in Hamburg Groß Borstel. Approximately 150 people with neurological diseases, acquired brain injuries and severe physical disabilities live here.

During the training, you will be accompanied by our practical instructors throughout the entire training and will have a fixed contact person. Your tasks in our houses and cooperating facilities include topics such as care and support for people in need of care, care documentation, anatomy as well as expert standards and their implementation in practice.

Your Profile

  • A middle school diploma or an equivalent degree, such as a first general education diploma and an additional completed two-year vocational training
  • Good German language skills at least at B2 level
  • First experiences with people with disabilities, perhaps through an internship, voluntary social year or through a federal
