Description

At the earliest possible date, we are looking for you as a Mechatronics Technician (m/f/d) for DB Fernverkehr AG at one of the ICE maintenance facilities in Cologne (Hansaring or Geldernstr./Parkgürtel).
Your responsibilities:

After successful training, you will perform maintenance and repair work as well as troubleshooting on ICE and IC trains of different series according to applicable regulations and work instructions
During your work, you will operate modern technical equipment (e.g. CNC-controlled underfloor wheel lathe, cooperating robots for e-checks, etc.)
You will ensure compliance with work, fire, and environmental protection regulations, as well as maintaining cleanliness and order at the workplace
The timely, reliable, and safe operation of our trains for our customers is of utmost importance, as you help keep Germany moving
You will actively participate in our training programs for maintenance technicians and apply your newly acquired knowledge in practice. Working with computers and mobile devices is part of your daily routine
In addition, there is the opportunity for further qualification in various specialized areas (e.g. non-destructive testing, wheelset processing, and deepening of knowledge in individual components of our trains)
You can work either in rotating shifts or in continuous night shifts (continuous night work)
