Position Summary
Lead and facilitate full time sanitation crew and participates in the sanitation of the campus.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities (essential functions)

Act for department supervisor in his/her absence
Help to plan, organize, delegate and followup with associate's job duties to be completed
Complete required paperwork in a timely manner
Ensure that all areas of responsibility are running in a safe, orderly, effective manner
Assist the supervisor with interviewing and hiring new associates
Perform own sanitation tasks while ensuring that all crew tasks are accomplished to standard
Train other sanitation associates and or subcontracted crew on sanitation tasks
Ensure that the crew understands and follows safe work practices
Responsible for OSHA Compliance and Regulations
Maintain sanitation supply inventory
Provide research and advise management on equipment and supply purchases
Perform minor maintenance and adjustments on cleaning equipment
Make recommendations for modifications to procedures or processes impacting their work group

or campus that will maximize efficiency, productivity, and reduce costs

Ensure compliance with company standards in the areas of accuracy, safety and productivity
Understanding of Food Safety handling techniques, practices and expectations for the work environment.

Knowledge

Proficient use of Microsoft Office for data entry and research purposes

Skills

Excellent customer service, communication, verbal and written skills
Demonstrate effective and successful leadership skills

Abilities

Meet production standards set by the company
Read and understand written and numeric product identifiers
Must be able to work needed schedule to perform assigned duties
Highly motivated, selfstarter and team player with strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize

multiple task in a fast-paced environment

Reach, stoop, bend and lift up to and including 60 lbs.
Stand for long periods of time
Work in a warehouse environment with varying conditions (i.e. cool temperatures, concrete floors, powered

industrial trucks)

Education

High School education
Certified on a powered industrial equipment where applicable

Experience

Familiarity/experience in a distribution environment preferred

Individual contributor, indirectly supervises staff of approximately 120 associates
