We are looking for a genuine caring person to join our Personal Care Staff. We are looking for someone with home care experience.This is a part-time position with a schedule of 5pm -1130pm Wed, Thur, Fri, with a possibility of extra hours when needed.
The Personal Care staff provides retired Sisters of a Catholic Convent personal assistance with their daily activities.Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Personal Care Lead, the Personal Care Assistant provides personal care services to help the clients with their daily activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care/escort assistance for daily activities, including preparing wardrobe, assisting with toileting and preparing showers, daily walks, and preparing dinner.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Assist sisters getting into bed.
- Demonstrates safe practices, by utilizing proper body mechanics, proper lifting techniques, and maintaining environmental safety.
- Strong dedication to providing excellent customer service.
- Take notes and report any change in condition to the leadership team.

Qualifications (knowledge, skills, abilities):
- Minimum oneyear experience working in home health care, senior health care facility, or similar setting required.
- Valid Driver License and insurance.
- Food Safe Serve Certification or ability to take and complete certification
- Ability to work independently
- Positive cando attitude, conscientious, compassionate, thorough.
- Basic conversational English skills required
- Able to document concerns in basic English.
Preferred education and experience
- Experience working with seniors with dementia and or Alzheimer's
- Experience working in a senior care facility or home care setting
- CNA or HHA Certification
- Highschool or equivalent
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift, pull, push 25 pounds.
Ability to stoop, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, talk, hear, and repeat motions of the wrist and hands.
Must be able to lift/move weight that is within the individual physical ability and use appropriate lifting devices or request assistance when needed.
Other Requirements:
Valid Driver License - If required to escort to medical facilities
Must be able to pass federal background check.
