Our customers use Hardware-in-the-Loop simulators (HILs) to test new vehicle functions. dSPACE HILs are used in areas such as propulsion, comfort, occupant protection, connectivity, driver assistance, and automated driving. This growing demand for in-vehicle communication and connectivity to the outside world is driving new technologies and leading to new requirements, such as security, bandwidth, and computing power.

As an application engineer, you will contribute to our goal of being a technology leader by translating it into tangible benefits for our customers. You will directly experience the success of your work through the implementation of customer projects.

This job ad is open to both experienced candidates and dedicated graduates.

Your tasks

  • Development, maintenance, and validation of a development environment for a continuous integration process of HIL real-time applications using tools such as Matlab/Simulink, Python, and dSPACE proprietary software
  • Implementation of data management solutions in the V-model development process for managing variants and versions
  • Automation of CAN, LIN, FlexRay, and Ethernet simulations
  • Integration of behavioral models, bus/network simulations, and electrical interfaces into HIL real-time applications
  • Commissioning of HIL systems in conjunction with the control units being tested, including troubleshooting
