Description

The GSI Helmholtz Center for Heavy Ion Research in Darmstadt operates one of the leading particle accelerator facilities for science. Currently, the new facility FAIR (Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research) is being built in international cooperation, one of the largest research projects worldwide. GSI and FAIR offer the opportunity to work in this international environment with a team of employees who are dedicated to conducting world-class science on a daily basis.

Through collaborations with renowned scientific institutions around the world, FAIR is embedded in a scientifically and culturally high-quality working atmosphere. In this ambitious, innovative project, the Group for Order Coordination (AK) in our Mechanical Integration department is responsible for the manufacturing support of mechanical design and production for international cooperation partners and suppliers, especially for the production of superconducting magnets.
