Embark on a spirited journey with us as the Beverage Manager at our Retreat, where your role transcends the ordinary.

Here, amidst the serenity and beauty of our haven, you are tasked with the alchemy of mixing, the artistry of presentation, and the science of flavor.

Your mission? To weave an innovative and world-class beverage program that dances in perfect harmony with our unique culinary offerings, elevating our overall guest experience.


The role will include oversight of the training and development of all service staff, curating and updating the bar program, and instilling service excellence.

The Beverage Manager will create an environment of hospitality and generosity in every interaction and promote a sense of community between all of our team members.


_ Responsibilities:
_


  • 4+ years of experience acting as a lead bartender/service manager or similar role in a luxury hospitality, food & beverage, or bar environment
  • The capacity to work within an everchanging environment, assisting to develop operating procedures as the business dictates and the willingness to to support in other areas of the food & beverage operation if needed
  • An advocate and ambassador of service standards that understands the critical role that exceeding and maintaining service expectations plays in building a successful food & beverage operations
  • Encompassing most aspect of beverage operations this role calls upon but is not limited to: beverage menu development, beverage service, beverage innovation, design, workflow and management as their pertain to the beverage program
  • Supply expert knowledge of wine and spirits and ensure the quality of all beverage items, ingredients and preparation methods while following and keeping to all local, state, and federal laws related to alcoholic beverage service and consumption
  • Design and oversee implementation of cocktail, spirit, wine, beer and nonalcoholic beverage training for bar and service staff
  • Assist in training new team members current standard operating procedures and development of any training materials
  • Assist in counting monthly inventory and pars of alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages and inputting them into any inventory software or documents
  • Ongoing development of bar program to ensure detailed product knowledge, growth, and professionalism of team.
  • Effective communication during preservice meetings of information relating to all beverage offerings, guests and daily operations
  • Set the standards of service unique to our property, consistently working to improve the delivery of service, and implementing all systems to ensure smooth operations
  • Implement effective policies to ensure that overall bar cleanliness meets State Health Code standards, with the expectation of passing with a letter A grade
  • Scheduling, payroll, and management of all Food & Beverage team members
  • Assistance with event strategy, coordination, and delivery

_Desired Skills and Experience:
_


  • Minimum 4 years experience in similar position in luxury hospitality environment
  • Strong spirits knowledge, craft cocktails experience a must
  • Strong wine knowledge, with any certification a plus
  • Willingness to learn, participate, and create beverage training and development opportunities for the food & beverage team

  • Fluent in English
  • Authorized to work in the U.S.
  • Must be available to work variable shifts on both weekdays and weekends hours/week)
  • Must be willing to work in an outdoor setting, including allweather conditions (rain, wind, heat, etc.)
  • Ability to regularly lift 25 lbs

  • Salary Range: $70,000 $75,000 annually.
