    Job Title: Maintenance Assistant

    The Maintenance Assistant works closely with the Community Manager and/or Maintenance Manager to uphold the beauty and cleanliness of the community through groundskeeping, make-ready tasks, and housekeeping responsibilities.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Maintain the grounds of the property
    • Keep the exterior areas and surroundings of each building clean
    • Ensure a consistent landscaped appearance by clearing debris, tending to plants, mowing lawns, and more
    • Follow maintenance procedures for tools and equipment
    • Handle trash collection and removal
    • Perform additional duties as assigned

    Make Ready/Housekeeper Duties

    • Clean vacated apartments according to instructions
    • Maintain cleanliness of common areas daily
    • Ensure amenities are well-kept
    • Assist with light maintenance tasks in vacant units
    • Adhere to safety regulations
    • Perform additional assigned tasks

    Skills and Abilities

    • Basic landscaping knowledge
    • Strong customer service skills
    • Effective written and verbal communication
    • Team player
    • Professional appearance and demeanor
    • Available for flexible work hours

    Education and Background

    • Minimum 18 years of age
    • Experience in multi-family grounds-keeping preferred
    • Previous landscaping, janitorial, or custodial experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent
