The German Railway is one of the most diverse employers in Germany.

Every year, we are looking for over 5,000 apprentices in 50 different professions who want to grow and improve with us.

We are currently seeking candidates for a 3.5-year apprenticeship as an Industrial Mechanic (m/f/d) for DB Regio AG at our location in Kempten (Allgäu).

The vocational school is also located in Kempten, while the training workshop is in Kaufbeuren.

What to expect in your apprenticeship:

  • You will work to ensure that our trains are always ready for use
  • Maintenance and repair of our vehicles for example, replacing brake blocks and fixing door damage
  • Maintenance and repair of our facilities and rail vehicles
  • Metalworking with tools and machines including turning, welding, drilling, and milling

Your profile:

  • You have successfully completed (or will soon complete) school with at least a qualifying secondary school diploma
  • Your German language skills are at least at level B
  • You have a strong understanding of math and physics
  • You have good manual skills and enjoy tinkering in your free time
  • Teamwork is enjoyable for you
  • You are dedicated, meticulous, and reliable in your work
