Description
Hello Just under a month ago, I adopted an Australian Shepherd puppy in Wyoming, PA. He is very sweet and affectionate, but as we know, the breed is very energetic. I take him for walks three times a day and sometimes for a short walk (I work from home). I would like to help him not feel stressed (he barks if someone enters the property at night, he didn't do this before). He has started his teething phase (I've had a dog before and I know what it means) and has already destroyed several things. I had to take away his bed because he suddenly started chewing on it non-stop. I can get him out of the kitchen, but he always tries to sneak back in. At the dog park, with other dogs, he recognizes me and obeys when I call him. It's difficult to get him out, maybe because he's afraid of the stairs (he fell once), when I have to put on his harness he lies down on the floor submissively. Sometimes he goes out without any problems and even anticipates it, but he always stops and waits for me to go down first and call him. When going up, his behavior changes, sometimes he waits for me, sometimes not. He has already bitten my mother a couple of times while playing, but even if I purposely put my hand in his mouth, he won't bite me.
