Reporting directly to the HR Recruitment Manager, the Recruitment Specialist will spearhead talent acquisition efforts and contribute to the overall success of the institution.


Key Responsibilities:

Recruitment Strategy Management:
Manage

and uphold innovative recruitment strategies in line with Baruch's strategic vision, aiming to attract top-tier talent.

Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers and department heads to understand their recruitment needs and provide expert guidance throughout the hiring process.


Data-Driven Analysis:
Utilize HR analytics and metrics to assess the effectiveness of recruitment strategies and make data-driven recommendations for improvement.

Compliance and Policy Adherence:

Stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in recruitment and ensure compliance with CUNY policies and procedures.


Continuous Improvement:

Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains in recruitment practices, striving for excellence in all aspects of talent acquisition.


QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field and four years' related experience required.


Other Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in recruitment or talent acquisition, preferably in a higher education setting.
  • Strong knowledge of recruitment best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and recruitment software (e.g., CUNYfirst Talent Acquisition Management).
  • Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in recruitment practices.

CUNY TITLE OVERVIEW


Develops and administers processes and policies regarding Human Resources.- Advises employees and managers on Human Resources policies and guidelines; provides a high level of customer service in assisting members of the College community- Supervises and administers one or more human resources programs such as recruiting, pay administration, employee orientation, employee benefits, data entry and recordkeeping, and performance appraisal/reappointment practices- Maintains an in-depth understanding of CUNY rules and regulations, relevant laws and guidelines, collective bargaining agreements, and College policies, and applies these to his/her areas of responsibility- Investigates regarding sensitive employee issues or complaints- Helps create innovative communications such as manuals, web pages, or employee meetings and provides these to the College community- Performs related duties as assigned.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
$64,649 - $70,238; salary commensurate with education and experience.
