Position Summary:


The Food and Culinary Services Trainer, reporting to the Training Manager, is responsible for training Food and Culinary Services employees (Nutrition Assistants, Food Services Workers, Cooks, etc.).


Principle Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for regulatory, safety and technical training.
  • Provides training sessions as directed, ensures training is documented and tracked in accordance with applicable codes and regulations.
  • Develops, generates, and distributes useful reports for management.
  • Works with Training Manager, Management, and Department Leaders on problem solving involving training issues.

Requirements:


  • Requires Associates Degree in Education or a related field.
  • Experience beyond the work experience requirement may be substituted for the degree on a 2 years of experience for 1 year of education basis.i.e. 4 years.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience performing/planning/coordinating training, coaching and/or teaching.
  • Must be comfortable working with computers and be able to "troubleshoot" on the fly as hardware or software malfunctions occur during training sessions.
  • Exposure to using TQI methodologies to improve and monitor processes is essential.
  • Experience with regulatory, safety and technical topics preferred.
  • Excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills a must.
  • Requires basic understanding of health care industry issues and operations.
  • Requires knowledge of training principles; curriculum development and preparation of collateral materials necessary to support a 365person department.
  • General knowledge of systems and standards in: Call Centers, Customer Service, and Food regulations.

Shift:

Full-Time 40 hours

Day shift (5am - 1:30pm)
