Job Summary and Qualifications:
What You Will Do In This Role:
- You will perform treatment under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist for patients that are acutely ill or have medical needs, which result in mobility and activities of daily living deficits.
- You will monitor and document every therapy encounter, identify any adverse responses/followups, report tolerance and progress of therapy interventions in medical record.
- You will be responsible for performing patient screenings and deliver to supervising occupational therapist for determination of screen recommendations and for securing the necessary supplies for treatment.
- You will demonstrate team work, adaptability, and serve as a resource to the Rehab team.
- You will have accountability for delivering quality services and for promoting a positive image of the department.
What qualifications you will need:
- Associate Degree from a Physical Therapy Assistant program is required.
- Physical Therapy Assistant License issued by the Texas State Board of Physical Therapy Examiners is required.
- 1 year of experience as a
Physical Therapy Assistant:
Acute, Inpatient Rehab, or Outpatient setting is preferred.
- Current BLS certification is required.
