Configuration Management Specialist to join our team in
Newport, RI.
Position Overview:
TPL should maintain, update, oversee a small technical library of documentation, prepare, and distribute routine reports from a Microsoft Access database.
Position Responsibilities:
- The TPL is responsible for configuration control of the resource documentation maintained in the NERRC TPL.
- Maintain control of documents to include, but not be limited to Formal Work Packages (FWPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), Drawings, Test Procedures, Technical Work Documents (TWD).
- Ensure that the current revisions of appropriate documents are available at all locations where operations essential to the effective functioning of the quality system are performed.
- Superseded documents shall be appropriately archived and kept from active use.
- TPL shall maintain a current method for which external and internal source documents are reviewed for currency not to exceed one (1) year. This process shall be documented and retained as objective quality evidence (OQE) for proof of accomplishment. Revisions expire after five (5) years. These practices are in alignment with OPNAVINST series.
- Maintain and update the master list(s) of all documents with the corresponding control numbers, revision level, effective and approval authority.
- Records shall be maintained to provide evidence of conformity to requirements and of the effective operation of the imaging system maintenance program. Records shall remain legible, readily identifiable, and retrievable. A documented procedure shall be established to define the controls needed for the identification, storage, protection, retrieval, retention time and disposition of records.
Position Requirements:
- Must be able to get and maintain a SECRET clearance.
- Have prior Publication Library experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 Suite of tools (Access, SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
Position is located in Newport, RI.
