The Division of Enterprise Operations (DEO) administers enterprise policies governing procurement, risk management, and continuity of operations planning; provides services to DOA and other agencies in the areas of financial management, procurement, risk management, continuity of operations planning, and the State Prosecutors Program; and facilitates opportunities for diverse businesses to sell goods and services to state agencies.

Position Summary:


Position Summary


Under the general direction of the General Accounting Financial Management Supervisor, lead, direct and manage accounts payable, encumbrances, delegated pre-audit, travel and expense reimbursement, Central Fuel procurement program, and Building Trust Fund invoicing for the Department of Administration and attached agencies.

Oversee the daily operation of Payables and Travel fiscal systems and provide all aspects of financial reporting, monitoring and support for assigned program areas.

Assign and train Payables & Travel accountants and financial specialist staff, establish performance standards, monitor progress toward standards, identify and correct procedural problems, identify policy issues and implement solutions.

Salary Information:


  • This classification (Financial Program Supervisor) is in schedulerange 8103 with an
    hourly rate of $26.34$43.46 (depending upon qualifications), plus excellent benefits. A 12month probation period is required. Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan.

Job Details:

Due to the nature of the position, DOA will conduct background checks on applicants prior to selection. DOA does not sponsor work visas.

All persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States, and to complete the required employment eligibility form.


Qualifications:


Qualified applicants will have experience:


  • Performing accounting functions related to purchasing fiscal transactions (e.g. accounts payable/receivable, invoicing, purchase orders, reimbursements, preparing deposits, auditing funds, journal vouchers, general ledgers, etc.)
  • Preparing and presenting financial reports
  • As a lead worker and/or formal supervisor (e.g. delegation of work, hiring, evaluation, project management, etc.)
