Description

CVFPB is currently recruiting for an Environmental Program Manager I (Supervisory) (EPMI) with leadership and project delivery skills to join our dedicated group of public service professionals.

The EPMI will serve as Manager of the Board's Environmental Services and Land Management Division.

As Manager, the EPMI will provide high level oversight for critical and sensitive environmental and natural resource management programs, including tribal coordination, and for planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating the staff work of the Branch, which is accountable for environmental planning, environmental analysis, and environmental compliance activities of the Board's Encroachment Permit and Enforcement activities, as well as real estate, land use, and property management matters within the Sacramento and San Joaquin Drainage District (SSJDD).

In addition, the EPMI will supervise a growing staff of 6 and will report directly to the Deputy Executive Officer.

  • Special Requirements
  • A valid Class C California Driver's license to perform project visits. Travel may include driving a vehicle on public roadways, in remote areas, or on unpaved and uneven terrain. Must have the ability to ascend and descend embankments typically up to a 2 to 1 slope. Must be able to work in adverse conditions that may include heat, cold, wet, windy, and muddy conditions.
