Responsibilities

Independent technical planning, preparation, and execution of chemical experiments and laboratory investigations

  • Technical planning, development, and construction of experimental setups for polymer synthesis and fiber modification
  • Execution and evaluation of corresponding experiments
  • Planning, execution, and evaluation of sample production (entire range from material components to composite materials)
  • Planning, execution, and evaluation of wet chemical and instrumental analyses (e.g. titrations, rheology, material properties)
  • Assisting in shaping using specialized large equipment (e.g. injection molding)
  • Development of new methods for polymer synthesis and fiber modification
  • Evaluation, validation, and interpretation of laboratory results and experiments
  • Writing supporting materials for research reports and publications

Ensuring the functionality and organization of the laboratory

  • Ensuring laboratory and equipment safety through functional testing, maintenance, and care of equipment and facilities
  • Writing work instructions for experiments (SOP) as part of the project
  • Training and instruction of employees and students on scientific equipment, as well as technical support and practical guidance for students and researchers in operating scientific equipment and conducting experimental methods
  • Laboratory organization and procurement in compliance with legal regulations
