Job SummaryResponsible for managing the daily operations of the Social Service department. Areas of supervision include all departments in the hospital and outpatient units. Manager handles patient caseload responsibilities providing direct care as needed. Oversees the development of goals, budget and performance improvement initiatives. Provides direction, consultation and supervision of the Social Service staff. Models team work with managers of Case Managers. Ensures positive collaboration between Social Workers and Case Managers.
Job Requirements
Minimum Education Requirement:
MSW is required from an accredited school of Social Work. LCSW is required.
Minimum Experience Requirement:
Minimum of 2 years experience working in a hospital environment is required. Supervisory experience is preferred. Excellent customer service skills required.
Minimum License Requirement:
May be required to have a current, valid CA driver's license to drive between sites. Current LCSW. BLS required.
